Spring is in the air at RHS! I hope you all are having a wonderful Spring Break. We will only have a few weeks left in the school year once you return. Do you understand now why the upperclassmen have told you that your high school years will go by fast? This one sure has.
I want to let you know how I have spent the last few days. I have been in Baton Rouge attending the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Convention. RHS students again performed well with many students qualifying for Nationals in individual as well as group events. Nationals will be held in Nashville, Tennessee this year, and are scheduled for Orlando, Florida next year. I encourage you to get involved in this organization. You will have a chance to join clubs at the beginning of next year, and if you are interested in a career in any business or marketing field, come join the other students who make FBLA at RHS one of the premier chapters in the State of Louisiana. Oh, when you see John H., your fellow classmate, congratulate him for his 1st place finish in Business Math. Way to go John!!
I would also like to take this time to recognize the freshmen Bearcats who performed in Bearcats on Broadway, the RHS advance choir spring production. These students have exceptional talent, and along with their other cast members, brought down the house at the Dixie Theater in Ruston. If you missed seeing Devin P., Cassidy K., Anna H., Caitlin F., Ryan B., Hannah T., Octavious W., and Jarvis J., you missed a great show.
I hope you enjoy the remainder of your Spring Break and come back to school ready to end the year with a BANG! Stay safe, and I will see you on April 6th!
